MSU Alumni Association announces summer send-off parties

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬ore than 40 chapters and clubs of the 幺力视频 Alumni Association will host summer send-off parties for new MSU students July 21鈥揂ug. 5.
Now in its 17th year, this MSU tradition allows incoming freshmen and transfer students and their families to meet with alumni, friends and current students to learn more about life at the university. The events also serve as a networking tool, enabling participants to establish meaningful connections with fellow Bulldogs near their hometown.
This year鈥檚 send-off parties will welcome new Bulldogs from across Mississippi, as well as 11 other states鈥擜labama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Students and their families are invited to attend the send-off party in their local county or out-of-state area.
鈥淲e are eager to welcome these new students to the MSU family,鈥 said Jeff Davis, MSU Alumni Association executive director. 鈥淪end-off parties provide the opportunity to connect new students and their parents to each other and to alumni in their local area. Students can come to MSU with peace of mind knowing that they have a community that will support them every step of their new academic journey.鈥 聽聽聽
