Crocker graduates from FEMA鈥檚 National Emergency Management Executive Academy

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥旂哿κ悠碘檚 emergency manager is among the 12th cohort in the country to complete the Federal Emergency Management Agency鈥檚 National Emergency Management Executive Academy.
Brent Crocker graduated last month in Emmitsburg, Maryland, after completing four weeks of courses created to support the advancement of the emergency management profession at strategic policy and executive leadership levels.
Crocker and his cohort completed 128 total course hours consisting of emergency management policy and doctrine, leadership in complex systems, contemporary emergency management environment, creation of a stakeholder community, and a collaborative capstone project.
鈥淲e appreciate Brent鈥檚 commitment to continued learning and development in his role as director of emergency management at MSU. Brent鈥檚 expertise is invaluable to our overall campus safety efforts, and we are fortunate to have his leadership here,鈥 said Vice President for Student Affairs Regina Hyatt, who also serves as incident commander for the university鈥檚 Crisis Action Team.
鈥淭he FEMA Executive Academy is the premier learning experience for people in emergency management roles, and the experience gained by Brent鈥檚 time there will help our MSU community in innumerable ways,鈥 she added.
Crocker has now completed all three FEMA Emergency Management Institute Academies, including Basic Academy in 2017 and the Advanced Academy in 2019. For more on the training, visit .
Crocker holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in business administration and a master鈥檚 degree in information systems, both from MSU鈥檚 College of Business.
